Getting Started with Roblox Studio

Roblox Studio is the development environment used to create experiences for the Roblox platform. This powerful tool enables you to build 3D worlds, script game mechanics, design user interfaces, and publish your creations for millions of players to enjoy.

Installing Roblox Studio

  1. Visit create.roblox.com and click the "Start Creating" button
  2. Sign in to your Roblox account (or create one if you don't have one)
  3. Download and run the Roblox Studio installer
  4. Launch Roblox Studio after installation is complete

Creating Your First Place

When you first open Roblox Studio, you'll see the templates screen:

To get started:

  1. Choose a template (Baseplate is recommended for beginners)
  2. Give your place a name in the dialog that appears
  3. Click "Create" to generate your new Roblox place
